Samantha Lee
Dr. Samantha Lee is a board-certified veterinary pathologist and diagnostic medicine expert dedicated to uncovering the “why” behind every case. She earned her B.Sc. in Biochemistry at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign before completing both her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and PhD in Comparative Pathology at the University of Minnesota. Today, Dr. Lee leads the Diagnostic Pathology division at Midwestern Veterinary Diagnostic Lab, where she interprets tissue biopsies, performs necropsies, and advises clinicians on complex disease processes. An ACVP-certified pathologist and USDA APHIS-accredited veterinarian, she combines cutting-edge lab techniques with a meticulous eye to deliver actionable insights that guide treatment and protect herd health. Outside the lab, Dr. Lee loves exploring global cuisines in her kitchen and teaching forensic pathology workshops for veterinary students. She’s driven by a single goal: to translate microscopic findings into better outcomes for every patient—whether it’s a backyard flock, a household pet, or a herd of horses.
